started SWAT as an independent gym trainer in 1993. He is a Certified Master Personal Trainer, Certified in Sports Nutrition through University of Arizona, and is an RKC and Crossfit Certified Instructor with over 25 years of experience in the fitness training
field. Ron specializes in core training, boot camp, weight loss, and
12-week physical transformations.
Ron is a former military
SWAT Commander and civilian law enforcement officer. He is dually certified by IKFF and RKC, the most prestigious certs available in kettlebell training. read

coaching, lifestyle coaching, motivation, and
goal-setting. She started out as a trainer, is a Crossfit Certified Trainer and a Boot Camp Instructor, and now focuses on coaching and working with wome.n

William, CPT, crossfit, IKFF, RKC LEVEL 2, OLY LIFTING, usaw
Will is a certified personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a top graduate of his College Fitness Technician program. In addition to being an outstanding personal trainer, he has advanced training as a Crossfit Certified Instructor (with CF certifications in almost every specialization) and Kettlebell Coach, with multiple kettlebell certifications in both Hard Style Kettlebells (RKC Level II,) and Fluid Style, giving him a truly multi-faceted and integrated approach to kettlebell training and fitness training in general.
William has earned the prestigious RKC Level 2 status, being one of only a handful in the State of Arizona, in addition to being kettlebell certified by IKFF. He is also Certified in Olympic Lifting, Nutrition, and Crossfit Endurance. As one of the most educated, well rounded and experienced kettlebell instructors in Arizona, Will brings his expertise and enthusiasm to each client - and is truly able to adapt his training methods to the unique needs of his clients.
William has experience training all types of individuals from athletes to elderly and special needs populations. William is a very energetic and outgoing individual who will push and motivate you through every step of the way whether your goals are weight loss, strength gains or just correcting posture and creating a healthy lifestyle. KATE, B.S., CPT, crossfit level 1, OLY lifting, mobility
Kate is a graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Behavior.
Kate is Crossfit Level I certified and has the Crossfit Olympic Lifting Cert, Harvey Newton Olympic Weightlifting Cert and Crossfit Mobility Certifications. She played Division I basketball at The United States Naval Academy and at West Virginia University. After a successful playing career, she coached Division I Basketball at University of South Carolina and College of William & Mary. She also owned and managed her own coffee roaster/retail business.
She loves working with all age groups from kids to older adults. Helpingclients fulfill their goals is what drives and inspires her. She loves working with clients, watching them push hard and achieve things they never thought possible.
Kate enjoys walking into the gym every day to see everyone work hard, and feeling great when the workout is over.

Joel is a graduate of the University of Arizona and holds certifications in Crossfit and Kettlebells as well as sandbag training and injury free running. Joel is a great motivator and gives 100% effort to each and every one of his clients.
Joel first came to us as a client, attending an Introductory Crossfit Foundations Workshop back in the early years.... and the rest is history. For several years, Joel was our 'main man' at the front desk as our Customer Service Rep, committed to serving our clients and giving them the best customer service experience possible.
Since then, Joel has become a Certified Trainer, specializing in Crossfit methods, kettlebells, and overall motivational and lifestyle coaching. He has a passion for teaching people the benefits of a healthy life style including proper nutrition and exercise. Joel has helped people of all ages and fitness levels and promises to help you reach your full potential.
And yes, he still specializes in making and keeping clients happy with his great attitude, willingness to learn, and above all his strong desire to help others.. |

"Q" Jefferson, ISSA, CF Level 1, CF Kettlebell Certified.
"Q" is the newest trainer at SWAT and in his own words he says, "I love it!" He loves CrossFit, KettleBells, Boot Camps, and RESULTS. His goal and passion is to see you become the very best athlete/person that you can be. He specializes in many different methods of training but his favorite program to teach is CrossFit.
After a year of training with expert CrossFit coaches, an expert Olympic Lifting coach, and other phenomenal athletes, he felt the need to teach others what he had learned so he decided to get his CrossFit Level 1 Certification, CrossFit KettleBell Cert, and the International Sport Science Association Certifications.
Though it is cool, Personal Training is not all he cares about… "I LOVE my family, music, outdoor activities, my JEEP, my girlfriend Amy, and my boxer dog Ali." |

Steve was chosen as one of ten Special Operations Operators to compete in Maxim Magazine's "Maximum Warrior" Competition last year, and represented... as always.

KALI, director of swat power yoga
Discovering the power of yoga at 17, Kali Kennedy instantly felt a vocation towards teaching and yoga. Wasting no time, she received her yoga certificatio n at Arizona School of Yoga in accordance with the Yoga Alliance almost a year late. She also attended extensive training at Level 1 Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste. After traveling for a year, Kali has landed with us here at Swat Fitness to help launch our dynamic yoga program.
This girl has a fierce passion for yoga and a mission to help spread the benefits of this mind-body awareness and exercise. Though pursuing a degree in education, Kali is dedicated to a life of revealing the unlimited effects of a yoga practice. “My goal is to help people feel comfortable, powerful, and free within their own body. Everybody deserves this!”

SWAT fitness - health and medical advisory board
Frank Comstock, M.D., obtained his medical training from Michigan State University, where he also completed residency training in emergency medicine. Dr. Comstock continues to practice emergency medicine today and is board certified in that specialty. He is President of Northwest Tucson Emergency Physicians and has been Medical Director for twenty years.
His transition to include anti-aging medicine comes from seeing numerous patients show accelerated effects of aging in the emergency room, often preventable through lifestyle changes This prompted further training at the prestigious Cenegenics Medical Institute and board certification in the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, where Dr. Comstock built upon his prior research experience to further his knowledge of health optimization.
Dr. Comstock consults with SWAT clients to offer personalized programs for wellness and longevity through healthy diet, appropriate exercise programs, quality supplement products, and bio-identical hormone replacement. Dr. Comstock has authored an important addition to the anti-aging medical publication, 101 Great Ways to Improve Your Health, and is a leader the in the area of proactive aging. His pioneering approach to optimal health management through the development of advanced, personal programs for each of his patients, makes Dr. Comstock an integral part of the SWAT Fitness Medical Advisory team.
Dr. Tim Harrigan is a Doctor of Chiropractic, in private practice in Tucson, AZ. A specialist in various aspects of healthy lifestyle, nutrition and exercise, Dr. Harrigan's philosophy supports that of the SWAT personal training team
