"How did I get started losing nearly 100 pounds? I went to SWAT Personal
Training, and Ron Holland said he wouldn't give up on me. I started
with SWAT, working out three or four days a week. Now I have
muscles. I am toned and in shape, and I'd NEVER been in shape. SWAT
has changed my body and my life. Thank you, SWAT Fitness!

"SWAT is the reason I can chase
my kids around non-stop. It's cool to be the dad that can keep up with
a few amped up toddlers. They haven't trained me to be an elite
athlete. They've trained me to be in shape for my life. Running up a few
flights of stairs with a 3 year old and 2 year old is no problem. That's
how I use it.That's how
they train. 'll be in the best shape of your life, for your life."

"Thanks S.W.A.T. !! I was
struggling with my fitness routine. I needed a boost so I signed up for
the 12 week program. Shauna pushed me and guided me back into shape.
She was terrific. Ron and his staff are professional, kind, and fun to
be around!"

I started training with SWAT in July of 2008 for my fight on the UFC Finale fight. Before SWAT Fitness put me and my training on a whole other path, I had done some traditional weight lifting. I'm big on "I don't believe it until I see it." I was told by several other professional athletes and friends that kettle bell training is the way to go.
I was always a very successful fighter in all the local and smaller shows, but when I got the call for The Ultimate Fighter season 8 I knew that I had to take my training to the next level. That's the moment I introduced SWAT Fitness training into my life. Within 6 weeks I had put on 25 pounds of solid muscle mass and my muscle endurance was through the roof. I noticed a difference in my performance in the gym in my first week training at SWAT.
SWAT has really gone out of their way to bring in the best personal fitness trainers to develop to whatever kind of progress your looking for in your fitness. By the time my fight had come, I was more than ready. And it showed and paid off for me in my fight. I had put on a very exciting, entertaining and high-paced 3 round war. After that third round, I was ready to go another 3.
Like I said earlier; I'm big on "Seeing is Believing." So when I saw immediate results, I was convinced. I cant wait to get ready for my next fight and take my game to even the next level with SWAT Fitness and their kettlebell training!

"I just have to say Thank You, Ron, for all your help and support - and especially for not giving up on me when I've had my setbacks (hernia, pneumonia.)
I am down 41 pounds but more importantly I feel stronger than I have ever felt and feel like I am 20 again!
And yes, there WILL be a killer "after" photo!"

"At SWAT, Jana and Ron Holland have created an environment in which exceptional people are drawn to it, and I really cannot think of a more perfect group, venue and hosts.
Ron and Jana have created something really great with SWAT, and I offer my congratulations to them and their team of trainers for their continued success. The SWAT trainers are outstanding, and SWAT is awesome!"

Terrie's Transformation
I originally approached SWAT because I had an upcoming class reunion. I
just wanted to look good and feel proud of the way I looked—so I talked
to Ron, with SWAT Personal Training. I had no idea how much of an
impact this small step would have on my life. Ron loaned me a “Body of
Work” video, and I was truly inspired. That day I made that important
decision to change my life.
I began a 12-week program which included having Ron as my
fitness trainer, although the term just isn’t enough to describe him
and the impact S.W.A.T. has had in my life. Ron gave me nutrition
expertise and guidance, and pushed me harder than I would or could have
ever pushed myself. I quickly learned that I could call at any time
with questions, or when I needed a little extra motivation to skip that
pizza for lunch.
I am determined and motivated
because I had a trainer
who is excited about life. Ron and his S.W.A.T. trainers truly want
others to know that same excitement. Ron helped me realize and reach my
full potential. Thanks a million for laying the foundation and guiding
me along the way. I have succeeded in building a healthy body and mind.
I am happier because of it, and I do share your excitement, Ron!"

80 pound weight loss in 10 months and still counting! Read Sean's inspiring story....
When I finally made the decision to do something about my weight, I weighed in at over 340 lbs. I got tired of being overweight and not feeling well. I'd wake up each morning and my feet would be sore and tight. I'm 27, and I thought, "I shouldn't feel this crappy and if I don't change it now, it's just going to get harder to lose the weight and change my habits."

It was also frustrating to go into stores and not be able to just grab something off the rack and know it would fit. I decided to bite the bullet. Getting a personal trainer seemed like a big financial commitment, but I was willing to do it to get my health squared away.
I talked to my wife several times about it and around the first of the year our family tried to do a diet together. That lasted about six weeks, and then I signed up with SWAT Personal Training. I began working with a trainer Monday, Wednesday and Friday and did cardio on my own the other days. I've lost over 60 lbs at SWAT.

Is it frustrating? Yes. Are there plateaus? Yes. You have to look at lean muscle mass versus body fat. During my first plateau the numbers were significant. I had gained 5 percent muscle and dropped 5 percent body fat.
I've learned to focus on the long-term goal rather than whether I lost my two pounds for the week. I focus on how far I have come, and that my body is still changing and getting stronger.
Erik's Story
150- Pound Weight Loss & Still Losing!
I first met up with SWAT in August of 2006 and for whatever reason, I put off making SWAT an integral part of my workout routine until September 2007 when I started my 1st boot camp. If only I would have started sooner!
Since September 2007, my progress has been leaps and bounds above my wildest expectations and has resulted in more progress towards a total lifestyle change for myself in 6 months then I had in 5 years of trying to get into shape by myself. I have seen results in my physical fitness level I never thought possible, as well as have made great new friends with others who have also chosen to make SWAT a part of their lifestyle.
The passion & dedication Ron & Trey put into the morning boot camps, as well as the encouragement and motivation provided has made it hard to not to want to get out of bed every morning at 4:45 AM and near impossible not to succeed. No two mornings have been alike, and after 6 boot camps to date, that is quite remarkable.
Every boot camp and every morning has been a new challenge. There are numerous favorable things to list about SWAT, however one word to sum it all up is ... RESULTS.
My Results:
In my point of view, results are more than just a pound number. Results are the laying of a foundation to sustain a total lifestyle change.
Since September I have dropped 10 inches in pants as well as 2 complete shirt sizes. Outside on the track, I now run a complete mile in under 10 minutes compared to not even being able to run a full π mile in September. Results. I have been whooped into a physical fitness level where a 20 mile bike ride followed by a grueling 10 mile hike in the Catalina's is not out of the ordinary on a weekend for me.
I am not where I want to be yet, but I am 50 pounds closer & 6 minutes quicker then where I was in August. The next step now for me will be SWAT Kombat Kettlebells with Trey.
If you are thinking about SWAT, don't make the same mistake I did and wait an entire year to get started. Join now, you will be amazed at the results.
