Let us start with a little background...
We discovered CrossFit training sometime around August 2007. At the time, Ron was looking for new and innovative training methods to use with his clients, and was very curious about this crazy "Crossfit" thing he had heard about.
He did some research, and experimented with a few of the training techniques and said to himself, "This could be it! This is exactly what some people need and are looking for!" Ron believed that Crossfit offered something that would totally change the way some of our clients trained.
Why was Crossfit so intriguing? It's pretty simple, really.
Traditional "gym fitness" can be frustrating! Although people really want to change, let's face it - it is harder to do in that environment, when left on your own. Our SWAT-Fit High Intensity Interval Training, ultilizing Crossfit methods, provides you with lots of ways to measure progress... without setting one foot on the scale. You'll see it. You'll feel it. You'll like it. And it will be the best decision you've madefor yourself in a long time...
Let's See if You Can Relate:
One day, you get sick and tired of being sick and tired, (and you're fatter than you want to be) and you say to yourself, "That's It! I've got to do something about this!" You make a big decision to take action and "get in shape." You probably think that the best place to start is by joining a gym.
You tell yourself that you'll go regularly, and that as of this moment, you will NOT fall back into bad habits. You will join a gym, and life will be different. You'll go regularly, you'll eat right, and you're going to CHANGE!
Then reality hits. Sometimes quickly. You realize a hard fact. It's hard to go to the gym! Before lone, you find yourself getting more and more "busy", and less and less motivated.
Or maybe you're one of the few who DO successfully develop a regular workout program and stick to it. Maybe you have a solid routine - and you stick to it religiously.... Maybe you even call it "your routine," and can spout off exactly what it is.
It sounds kind of like this: "Monday Wednesdays and Fridays I do 40 minutes of cardio on the elliptical at Level 4, and then I hit the weights on alternate days." You can break it down by the day. You may have "Back and Bi" days, or "Chest and Tri" days. And then there's the "Legs and Arm" days. And, of course, you throw in crunches every day. Cuz you can never do enough "ab" exercises. You read that somewhere...
Day after day, year after year, this becomes your habit. Perhaps even years go by, and although you may switch gyms, or change which days are your "cardio days," very little else has changed. Your body hasn't changed. Your body fat hasn't changed. You still weigh more than you want - AND YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY!
But you think you know the answer...
"I'm on a plataeu," you think to yourself. "So If I just go more often, and/or work a little harder, that would make all the difference!"
You think you're taking responsibility. You think you know the missing link. You say to yourself, "I need to work harder.... Or go more often.... or Do More Cardio..." Come on, you've been there or maybe you ARE there right now!
But the problem is - you're mistaken. What if I told you that it ISN'T about going MORE or working HARDER. That's a cyclical trap that will hold you hostage! No, it's not all about about how often you go, or how hard you work. IT'S ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE DOING (and NOT DOING) WHILE YOU'RE THERE!
But until you know that - (if you're like most,) then eventually you get frustrated and quit. Sometimes it's right away; sometimes it's after investing years and years into programs, facilities and memberships. But it's all because you THOUGHT that you were doing all the right things... or knew what to do and just weren't doing it.
Either way - the results don't come and you don't see progress, because you don't know how to measure it. Or don't know what to measure.
Does This Sound Familiar?
Americans will try almost anything to lose weight and look better. We purchase endless amounts of junk advertised on infomercials. Americans purchase pills, drinks, powders and memberships, year after year with minimal results.
Everyone you talk to has an "I used to be able to....." story. You probably have one, too. What did YOU used to be able to do? What did YOU used to look like back in the day? What would people NOT guess, if they looked at you now?
With CrossFit, we CAN once again do what we used to do.
People who come to us have usually heard about Crossfit, but don't really know what it is, or what it can do for them. People come to us and want to know, "So, what is this CrossFit stuff? Is it really different?"
The short answer is - Yes. And to really understand the difference, there's nothing we can TELL you. There's only way to really get it. You must WALK IN THE DOOR!! There is no way to just tell you in a few words what it is. Because it's not a theory. It's not a program. It's not a technique. And it's definitely not a "routine" you follow.
What it IS - is an EXPERIENCE.
SWAT's Crossfit and SWAT-Fit high intensity workouts provide measurable results, fast and effective workouts, varied and high intensity exercises, and virtually guaranteed plateau-busting workouts.
Still curious about what it is and why people love it? Looking for a high-intensity workout that delivers fast results? Tired of the boring old routine? Then you've just got to do it..... WALK IN THE DOOR. Come on out and TRY IT FOR FREE!
