Boot Camp Success Stories

Posted by crossfittucson on May 22nd, 2007

Most of the Post-Camp results are in, and the news is GREAT!!

I have been really impressed by how hard everyone worked, and how focused they were on meeting their goals. The reviews have been very positive, and a lot of our participants are going to sign up for the next Boot Camp Session. that makes us very proud.

We have all the dates and locations finalized for the next Boot Camp. we start May 29 (Tuesday, because of the Holiday) and then the final week we will meet SIX days instead of 5.

Three Tucson locations:
Northwest Tucson
East Tucson
Sahuarita, AZ

We are in the process now of signing up new participants, and getting their PRE-camp assessments completed.

This is going to be a great Boot Camp Fitness Class, and I encourage you ALL to think about joining in on the fun!

Boot Camp Graduation!

Posted by crossfittucson on May 11th, 2007

Another great week for all of us at SWAT. Boot Camp is finishing up this week (before the May 28 Boot Camp Session begins) and it is so exciting to see the progress and results that clients are getting! It’s amazing that in just a few weeks of commitment, hard work, and a willingness to try, you can change so much!

Ron treated his NW Boot Camp Grads to Starbucks after their post assessments this morning, and has expressed many times how proud he is of the participants in this last NW Tucson Boot Camp Fitness class. I know that Trey, with the Eastside Boot Campers feels the same way! This was truly a remarkable group of people.

Karyn P made great strides - but what she is most proud of is the fact that the first time she did a timed mile, it took her nearly 17 minutes. She said she had even been nervous about the Boot Camp because she didn’t feel like she would ever be able to run. Her post-assesment time: 13 minutes!! That is a remarkable accomplishment - not to mention the 3 lbs of body fat that she lost, plus her dramatic increases in strength, and even more importantly the sense of accomplishment and pride she has because she finished.

All the post-assessment results will be in this week, and I’m sure all results will be similar: our boot camp participants will have lost some pounds, gained some strength, lost some inches, and MOST IMPORTANTLY will feel better than they have in a long time. They will have finished something that few people ever have the courage to start. And they can all be very proud of themselves.

If I could emphasize one thing about the fitness boot camps to every person reading this, it is simple: You can do it! Don’t let your size, your age, or your self confidence stop you any more! You go at your own pace. You rest when you’re tired. You drink water when you’re thirsty. If you can’t run, you walk. You don’t have to keep up with anyone. No one will judge you. We just want you to try it.

Because we know that you can do it, and that it is worth the effort. Just ask the 50-plus participants who just graduated.

Boot Camp Comes to Sahuarita!

Posted by crossfittucson on May 6th, 2007

Well, this has been a very eventful and fun couple of weeks! In addition to continuing to stay busy providing the very best personal training in Tucson, we are concentrating on improving and getting our new Adventure Boot Camp Program in place!

Although many of you know have heard of our Fitness Boot Camp program that we’ve been doing successfully for years, Ron and I are really excited about the opportunities that are coming by re-structuring our program a bit, and opening it up to those who need more options, and just want to do something different - outside of the gym scene! We’re able to offer more days per week, in more locations, and at a great rate!

So Sahuarita, AZ….

We have several clients who currently live in Sahuarita and travel into town for personal training or group fitness classes. With the growth of Sahuarita, and the interest there in fitness and good health there, we thought it would be a great location for our new Adventure Boot Camp.

So starting May 28, SWAT Adventure Boot Camp will be held in Sahuarita, AZ at Sahuarita District Park. It’s only about 20 minutes from Downtown Tucson, and even closer for those who live in South Tucson and want to find a good fitness activity. We meet at 5:30 am, for an hour, five days a week - for one month.

We will also meet in two Tucson locations in addition to Sahuarita.

Our new website is live and has all the info you need about fitness boot camps in the Tucson, Vail, and Sahuarita area!

We are also very excited to announe that we have an awesome new trainer joining our team. He has been a well respected trainer in the Tucson area for years. We’ve had our eye on him for a long time - and now he’s officially joining our team as a Boot Camp Instructor in Sahuarita.

More details about Mike and the Sahurita schedule will be revealed in the near future, but we’re just really excited about the Sahuarita Fitness Boot Camp, and really look forward to meeting all of you in the Sahuarita area who are interested in health and fitness!

We welcome Sahuarita to the SWAT Fitness Family!
