Another great week for all of us at SWAT. Boot Camp is finishing up this week (before the May 28 Boot Camp Session begins) and it is so exciting to see the progress and results that clients are getting! It’s amazing that in just a few weeks of commitment, hard work, and a willingness to try, you can change so much!
Ron treated his NW Boot Camp Grads to Starbucks after their post assessments this morning, and has expressed many times how proud he is of the participants in this last NW Tucson Boot Camp Fitness class. I know that Trey, with the Eastside Boot Campers feels the same way! This was truly a remarkable group of people.
Karyn P made great strides - but what she is most proud of is the fact that the first time she did a timed mile, it took her nearly 17 minutes. She said she had even been nervous about the Boot Camp because she didn’t feel like she would ever be able to run. Her post-assesment time: 13 minutes!! That is a remarkable accomplishment - not to mention the 3 lbs of body fat that she lost, plus her dramatic increases in strength, and even more importantly the sense of accomplishment and pride she has because she finished.
All the post-assessment results will be in this week, and I’m sure all results will be similar: our boot camp participants will have lost some pounds, gained some strength, lost some inches, and MOST IMPORTANTLY will feel better than they have in a long time. They will have finished something that few people ever have the courage to start. And they can all be very proud of themselves.
If I could emphasize one thing about the fitness boot camps to every person reading this, it is simple: You can do it! Don’t let your size, your age, or your self confidence stop you any more! You go at your own pace. You rest when you’re tired. You drink water when you’re thirsty. If you can’t run, you walk. You don’t have to keep up with anyone. No one will judge you. We just want you to try it.
Because we know that you can do it, and that it is worth the effort. Just ask the 50-plus participants who just graduated.
